CARGILL, one of the world’s largest private companies, with a diversified portfolio ranging from agriculture and food to industrial and financial companies.
Cargill’s Global Edible Oil Solutions (GEOS) division fills bottles with olive, vegetable and other oils for distribution. Due to the volume of production, the process must be carried out without interruption at each station. Unfortunately, the production line was experiencing intermittent, momentary stoppages and production interruptions of less than one minute at various points in the process, costing Cargill up to 40 hours of productivity per month.
During daily production meetings, one facility consistently tracked micro shutdowns as one of the main contributors to lost production. As a result, the site used PI Event Frames to get a more detailed view of those losses and move the team from a reactive culture to a proactive one. This talk will take you through the journey of implementing the solution, quantifying the data, findings, and value gained.
